FOUND MOMENTUM
Found Momentum is a contemporary dance project developing new work with audiences at its core, rethinking where and how dance is made and shared to reach new people.
Our first project begins with R&D starting in June 2026, bringing dancers together to test ideas and shape the work through creative play, shared making and local insight
Our first work will be inspired by the New Forest National Park, exploring themes of wildlife decline, climate crisis, local history and oral storytelling. The aim is to develop a 25-minute outdoor show to tour locally and beyond.
This is a paid professional opportunity to work as part of a small collaborative team developing movement material in the early stages of the project.
The work focuses on creating contemporary dance rooted in rural contexts and connecting with new audiences.
This R&D also considers the potential foundations of a new company, and we are keen to hear from dancers open to developing a longer-term creative collaboration beyond this initial phase.
Priority will be given to applications from artists based in Dorset, Hampshire and Somerset.
We are looking for:
1 x Lead choreographer/dancer
2 x Dancer/choreographer
Commitment: 5 days/30 hours
in May & June
Fee: £1,260
Additional travel & access costs available by arrangement
Location: Ringwood & Bournemouth
